Maciek started his musical education on the violin at the age of 7 at a music school. He studied cello at the University of Music in Lodz, Poland. Then he continued his studies at the Statliche Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. The subjects of the studies were: composition, new media, computer music, programming, multimedia, new music, interactive concepts, performance, and live electronics. He graduated with a diploma: „In composition, Computer Music, New Media”.

He carries out multimedia shows using computers based on his own software. The first audio-visual presentation took place in Łódź in 1988. Since then, it has been giving concerts in Poland and abroad. He is a composer of music for film theater performances, creates graphic settings for concerts, and multimedia scenography for stage performances.

He has been teaching since 1991, in various centers in Poland, Austria, Germany, and the USA. In addition to teaching, he carried out a series of publications about Polish and foreign composers, including CD-ROMs and websites.

Since 2016, he has been conducting research and projects in virtual reality, in the Max 8, Unity environment.

He is a Ph.D. teacher and head of the Multimedia Studio at the University of Music in Lodz, Poland.
